Private Instruction

At Pro Prospects, we understand that no two ballplayers are alike. So we take the time to get to know our athletes; their goals, skill level, learning styles, tendencies and personalities. Our curriculum factors in all of these variables and expands as our players master new skills. Our skill development program improves game performance through innovative drills, proven teaching methods and attention to detail. We incorporate all aspects of the game into our lesson plans, including mechanical, visual, mental and situational skills.
Our instruction staff has a combined 125 years of coaching experience and is comprised of former professional and college players and coaches who are committed to your success. From setting goals and assessing needs to applying the correct adjustments and monitoring progress, your instructor oversees every step of your skill development.

Our instructors take the time to demonstrate and explain the purpose and benefit of each new skill and reinforce every drill introduced until a level of mastery is achieved. We continually evaluate progress so that we’re able to provide training specific to each players needs. Your development is tracked through detailed lesson notes after each session and regular video evaluation is utilized to help monitor and structure the individual guidance given to each player.

Your first training session will consist of a comprehensive mechanical evaluation (video analysis for players 12 and up) in your area(s) of focus (hitting, pitching, position-specific defense). We also provide each player with a checklist of recommended programs based on their training needs.  At the end of each lesson you will be sent home with drill work to help cement what you’ve learned. Our goal is to build self-reliant athletes. We encourage our players to keep a training log which provides them with a reservoir of drills and information to apply when needed.

Locking in with the same instructor promotes peer-mentor communication and enables us to become familiar with individual habits and learning styles. Hearing one consistent voice gives our players a level of comfort, helps them better understand the adjustments they’re making and helps us to understand how our athletes are processing new information. If you’re schedule doesn’t allow you to stay with the same instructor, lesson notes, regular instructor meetings and our catalog of video assessments on each player helps to guarantee a smooth transition between instructors.
